The week immediately following a long vacation is always hectic and this week was no exception!
On Tuesday, I went to see the orthopedic surgeon for the 2 inch gash across my index finger. He was impressed with the EMS stitch job and felt no need to change anything. He is not overly concerned with the tendon nick due to the location but I have to get to work on making sure my finger moves around so no scar tissue builds up. It hurts like hell but I’ve already gotten most of my range of motion back. Making a complete fist is still a challenge but that is the next goal.
As for what I did? Well, I lost respect for the knife I was using to cut zip ties and I lost my patience with it. Strike 1 and Strike 2. The final strike? I cut towards myself instead of away.
Strike 3 and off we went to a visit to the Emergency Staff on site.
Needless to say, I feel like a total and complete idiot but I guess everyone needs a reminder now and again. I am just thankful it’s not much worse!
Upon my arrival home, I found I had a present from Klout that lifted my spirits! It was my Klout Perk Essie Luxeeffects in Stroke of Brilliance!
I usually don’t like glitter polish due to it applying so unevenly but I think I can work with this especially as a highlight top coat. My one real complaint was just how hard it was to remove. I really had to scrub at it but all in all, I can see myself using this quite a bit.
Thanks Klout and Essie!!
